What makes you different from other NGOs?
We do not source our funds from governments, Foreign Aide, or International Donors. Our funds are generated from our business concerns, which include education, agriculture, health, and sport, among others.
These concerns generate 70% of our total funding while our e-commerce platform, UFEDO, generates 30%. These incomes are all channeled into charity across Africa.

What’s your organizational goal?
Our main focus is on establishing a strong and totally innovative system of eradicating poverty from Africa through trade and human capital development.
Why does your organization mix business with charity?
We have noticed that donor governments and institutions direct the spending patterns of NGOs. This pattern has bred inconsistencies between the aims of the organization and its activities.
We at PMDAfrica would want to do precisely what we stated in our goals, which is end poverty. The only way to fix that is to find a way to generate our income.
Furthermore, charity alone is not a cure for poverty. There is a need to provide the poor people a platform to earn something from performing little tasks.
